Fun Facts

When he’s not working, Rohan can often be found cooking pizzas in his wood-fired oven at home. In a past life, he was the bass drummer in a bagpipe band—setting the pace and keeping everyone marching together. Now it's just adding songs to his Spotify playlist!

Happy Places

Lazing by the water—whether it’s at his swimming pool or a quiet river—helps Rohan slow down and reset from the busy life him and his family lead. Travelling overseas to spend time with extended family is always grounding and opens his eyes to different ways of living and appreciating the little things. And spending time with good friends is what creates some of his best memories.

Passions

Between his wife, their two children—who are active in cricket, soccer, netball, and Scouts—and their toy Moodle dog, Simba, life is very full. Rohan coaches soccer, serves as team manager for cricket, and is the Quartermaster at his children’s Scout group, where he looks after all the gear (Scout nickname: Q).

If Rohan could be a tree or plant, what would he be and why?

Snowgum (Eucalyptus pauciflora) is renowned for its ability to thrive insome of the harshest conditions. Its smooth bark, mottled with shades of green, grey and cream, is beautifully offset by striking white flowers. Strong and knarled, snow gums are perfectly adapted to life above 700 metres, enduring temperatures as low as –20 degrees.

Striking to encounter while hiking or four-wheel-driving through alpine regions—something that strongly connects with his love of the outdoors—snow gums provide valuable shade and shelter from the elements. Beyond the high country, they also make a brilliant feature tree in gardens, bringing character, resilience and natural beauty to the landscape.
